Kern Wins Bronze in 2008 Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Award
Kern Communications Pvt Ltd, a leader in innovative learning, won a coveted Brandon Hall bronze award for excellence in the Best Use of Blended Learning category.

Kern was recognized during a ceremony and reception held on Thursday, September 25, 2008 in San Jose, California, as part of the 2008 Innovations in Learning Conference.
Kern designed a training program on Grooming and Personality Development for the customer service executives (CSEs) of Godrej & Boyce. This program was designed to help CSEs improve their grooming and customer handling skills. The objective of the program was to make CSEs more professional in their appearance and interaction with customers.
Kern adopted its Learner Centered Methodology (LCM) to propose a blended solution to Godrej. Post training, Kern and Godrej evaluated the application of learning at the workplace. The benefits of the training to Godrej were manifold:
1. Earlier 90% of learning was lost within a month of training. Post Kern’s intervention, 80% of people retained 90% learning.
2. Using the proposed model, Godrej could train many more people and cover many more regions at one-tenth the cost.
“This is a proud moment for Kern. As a four year old company, it is a tremendous achievement to have won this award,” said Geeta Bose, CEO, Kern Communications. “This award rightly complements our Learner Centered Methodology. We’ve been using our methodology successfully to create learning solutions that promote effective learning.”
The Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Awards are presented annually by Brandon Hall Research. A total of 246 entries were originally submitted. Independent judges around the world evaluated the entries.
